1. As part of IW-NET project (Innovation-Driven Collaborative European Inland Waterways Transport Network), the ISL and bremenports have prepared a short survey on digital services for inland navigation. The end goal is to develop e.g., web or a mobile application to make port stays more convenient for the end-users.

It only takes app. 5-10 min and is available in English, German, Dutch and French

2. As part of Entrance project (European matchmaking platform for innovative transport and mobility tools and services), an online webinar with the EIB is organised.
The objective is to present the EIB funding mechanisms for solution providers of sustainable transport & mobility solutions. The webinar will be open to public too.

On 1 June 2021, EBU en ESO (European Inland Waterway Transport Platform) published a joint press release on the Study of the Human Factors in Inland Shipping Accidents.
The results of the 1st Phase are already available online – click here!

Meanwhile, the 2nd Phase of the study is ongoing, being divided into two parts:
• Phase 2a that focuses on human-machine interface in the wheelhouse,
• and Phase 2b that focuses on the four most plausible causes of accidents, namely communication; fatigue and stress; specific waterway situations; and qualifications of the crew members.
